Acceptable use policy
These rules apply to everyone whose inboxes MailSequoia warms, and to the email those inboxes send. They are short on purpose.
Last updated October 19, 2026
1. Follow the law
Email sent from inboxes we warm must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act, and with any other law that applies to you and to the people you write to.
2. Be truthful about who is sending
The name and the address your email comes from must identify the real sender. Do not send under a borrowed name or pretend to be someone you are not.
3. Write truthful subject lines
The subject line must reflect what the email is about. A subject written to trick someone into opening the email breaks this rule.
4. Honor opt-outs promptly
When someone asks you to stop writing to them, stop. Do it promptly, and never later than the law allows.
5. Remove bounces
When an email bounces because the address no longer works, take that address off your lists.
6. Send nothing deceptive or illegal
No scams, no harmful attachments or links, no fraud, no impersonation, and nothing that is illegal to send. The same goes for the copy you give us for the warm-up.
7. Only inboxes that are yours
Connect only inboxes you own or are authorized to use.
8. If a sender breaks these rules
We can pause or end the warm-up for anyone who breaks this policy.
